Wylie J. Faucett, 90, of Fordyce died Wednesday December 25, 2013 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. Born October 11, 1923 at Carthage, he was a son of the late Junius Pleasant Faucett and Louisa Key Wylie Faucett. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for many years. He was a retired logging contractor, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and served as Dallas County Judge for ten years. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Beth Caughman Bridwell and Louise Tillery; and a brother, William Faucett. Mr. Faucett is survived by his wife, Lois Faucett of Fordyce; son, Dan Faucett (Jane) of Benton; two daughters, Mary "Boo Boo" Harper (Sammy) of Fordyce, Lissa Calhoun (Frank) of Carrollton, GA; brother, Joe Faucett of Malvern; six grandchildren, Scott Harper of Haskell, Leah Garner (Nick) of Benton, Laura Harper of Fordyce, Adam Faucett of North Little Rock, Whitney Holland (Reed) of Birmingham, AL, Kaitlyn Jennings (Jan) of Demopolis, AL; three great-grandchildren, Alicia Harper, Cannen Garner, Seth Garner; step grandson, Brent Calhoun (Summer) of Bismark; four step great-grandchildren, Kobee Garner, Jackson Holland, Gunnar Calhoun, Madyson Calhoun. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Nick Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church or to Gideon's International. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
