Poppy was a wonderful Christian man who loved reading his Bible, attending Bible Studies in Hampton and in Springdale when visiting family. He also attended a Prison Ministry in Camden when he was able. Poppy had so much joy in meeting with his friends several mornings each week at Granny’s Grill where they engaged in lively conversation at the “Table of Knowledge.”
In his younger years, Poppy enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and coaching softball. He was a retired VP from Southwestern Bell where he worked for over 40 years.
Our Poppy will be greatly missed, but we are comforted by the knowledge that he is at peace, no longer suffering and is meeting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
