William O. "Bill" Carter, 91 of El Dorado, died Friday, November 24, 2017. He was born August 20, 1926 in Banks to the late Gobe and Jobie Lee Carter. He was also preceded in death by his wife Aline Carter, five brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife Marcell Carter of El Dorado; two sons, Ronald Carter and wife Linda of Monroe, Louisiana and Larry Carter and wife Sandra of Lynchburg, Virginia; one daughter Myra Hearnsberger and husband Floyd of Hampton; three sisters, Gladys Pinson of Magnolia, Clydie Thornton of Hampton, and Everine Nealy of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two step-daughters, and one step-son.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton (Archer Street). Funeral services are 11AM Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Hampton with Rev. Ricky Smith and Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
