Walter Lee “Sam” Harris, 89 of Rison, died Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born December 13, 1929 in Rison, Arkansas to the late Lonnie Lee Harris and Mattie Reed Harris. He was also preceded in death by his wife Rose Kathryn Martin Harris and his daughter Nana Kay Harris Davis.
He is survived by his son Danny Lee Harris of Rison; his daughter Donna Harris Ward and husband Carl of Rison; five grandchildren: Mickey (Allison) Davis of Rison, Felicia “JJ” (Jimmy) Davis Bowlin of Rison; Ashley K. Ward of Natchitoches, LA; Shannon Lee Harris of Fayetteville; Jonathan Jagelski (Aimee) Ward of Shreveport, LA; 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and one son-in-law Benny Milton Davis of Rison.
Graveside services will be 2PM Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison with Clarence Fell officiating. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
