Virginia L. Martin, 77, of Hampton, died Tuesday March 6, 2012 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Mrs. Martin was born in Cordell, OK, on October 24, 1934 to the late Hugh & Juanita Damon Samples. Mrs. Martin was a retired truck driver, & a member of the Dickinson Baptist Church in Harrell, AR.
She is survived by her two sons, William E. Martin of Dallas, TX, George Martin Jr. of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Debra Grimes of Hampton, AR; nine grandchildren, & eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Martin Sr., & an infant son.
Graveside services are 10:00 AM Thursday March 8, 2012 at the Campground cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Colvin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Hampton. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
