Viola E. Herring, 93, of Camden died Tuesday March 29, 2011 at her home. She was born September 10, 1917 in Dallas County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Herring. Survivors include her son, Mike Herring and wife Linda of Temple, TX; daughter, Levonia Dodgen and husband Ron of Arroyo Grande, CA; sister, Willie Mae O'Hara of Camden; sister-in-law, Odelia Walsh of Sparkman; three grandchildren, Stacy Herring of Houston, TX, Aubree Dodgen of Pasadena, CA, Ethan Dodgen of San Luis Obispo, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at New Holly Springs Cemetery.
