Verna Sloop Massey

Verna Sloop Massey, 91, of Fordyce died Tuesday September 14, 2010 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. Born May 7, 1919 in Dallas County, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Lillie Wright Stover. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hughbert Keeton, Herschel Sloop, and James Massey; and a daughter, Marjorie Keeton Raney. She is survived by a daughter, Norma Laverne Howard of Little Rock; step-daughter, Janice Gray of Fordyce; sister-in-law, Jean Stover of Texas; four grandchildren, Kim Robison of Sherwood, Tracy Raney of Little Rock, Landon Howard of North Little Rock, Lance Raney of Fordyce; three great-grandchildren, Roxanne Raney of Fordyce, Addison and Logan Howard of North Little Rock. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
