Vera Quarles Doherty

Vera Quarles Doherty, 89, of Bearden died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Ouachita Nursing & Rehab Center in Camden. She was born March 4, 1922 in Ouachita County. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bearden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruthie Mitchell Quarles; husband, Jack Lewis Doherty; two sons, Mike and Lewis Doherty; two daughters, Shirley and Emma Jean Doherty; two brothers, Troy and Raymond Quarles and one sister, Era Clemons. She is survived by three sons; James Doherty and wife Tina of Harmony Grove, Johnny Doherty and wife Jessica of Magnolia, Frankie Doherty and wife Wanda of Bearden; four daughters, Frances Haynes of Fordyce, Rosie Pennington and husband J.W. of Bearden, Debbie Walker and husband Darryl of Bearden, Sammie Bean and husband Daniel of Sparkman; one sister, Emma Mae Smith of Mount Ida; forty four grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Bearden with Rev.
