Vera M. Garrison Bowman, 85 of Bearden died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at John R. Williamson House in El Dorado. She was born August 9, 1924 in Malvern, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Bearden. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Martha Price Garrison; three brothers, Cecil, Melvin and Price Garrison; three sisters, Erma, Ivy and infant Garrison. She is survived by her husband, Walter "Pete" Bowman of Bearden; one daughter, Mary Ellen Quarles of Bearden; one nephew, David Garrison of Camden; two grandchildren, Shannon Beard of Bearden and Kristen Parramore of Sherwood; four great-grandchildren, Abbey, Emma and Noah Beard all of Bearden and Cade Parramore of Sherwood. Visitation will be Thursday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Andy Hughes and Rev. Wayne McGuire officiating. Burial at Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House 2301 Champagnolle Road El Dorado, AR 71730.
