Veda Faye Williams Calhoun, 64, of Fordyce, died Tuesday January 26, 2010. Mrs. Calhoun was born in Dallas County on December 26, 1945 to the late James Robert and Minnie Lou Gray Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Madonna Erwin and her husband Jeremy of Fordyce, AR; a brother, Frank Williams of Fordyce, AR; a sister, Peggy Russell of Camden, AR; a brother in-law, Frank Calhoun of Carollton, GA; a sister-in-law, Sandra Lusinger of Fordyce, AR; a grandson, Jimmy Gage Erwin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Calhoun; four brothers, Everett, Clyde, Nelson, and Gerald Williams, and a sister, Maxine Williams Nutt.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 28, 2010 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Hammett Evans and Rev. John Fleming officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
