Ulyess Wayne Beverage

Ulyess Wayne Beverage, 84, of Sheridan, AR, formerly of Fordyce, died Saturday July 9, 2011 at the Dallas County Medical Center. Mr. Beverage was born in Dabney, AR on May 21, 1927 to the late Henry Lee & Ivy Pearl Beverage. He was a retired mechanic from Georgia-Pacific. Mr. Beverage honorably & faithfully served his country for 22 years in the United States Navy, where he defended our country during World War II, the Korean War & the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his three sons, Don Beverage & his wife Nancy of Arlington, TN, Ron Beverage & his wife Jean of Moreno Valley, CA, Sheldon Beverage & his wife Becky of West Plains, MO; a daughter, LaRue Rodda of West Memphis, AR; two sisters, Zelta Norman of Fordyce, AR, Armena Davis of Fordyce, AR; six grandchildren & six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lea Emslie Beverage, & a grandson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday July 13, 2011 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, with the Rev. B.L. Blann officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
