Troy Bradley

Troy Bradley, 86, of Fordyce, passed away April 6, 2026, at Dallas County Medical Center. He was born April 1, 1940, in the Eaglette Community (Bradley-ville), a place he loved deeply and was proud to call home throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Loriece Bradley; his daughter, Benita (John) MacNichol of Fordyce; granddaughter, Candace (Chase) McCollum of Fordyce; grandson, Zach MacNichol of Fordyce; and five great-grandchildren: Trace, Avery, Maddox, Bradley, and Layla. He was so proud of his family. He is also survived by his sister, Ramona Hearne (C.A. Ramer), a sister-in-law, Eloise Bradley of Russellville, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Bradley; his parents, Davis and Luella Bradley; his brothers, Davis Bradley Jr., Raymond Bradley, Thomas Bradley, George Alvin Bradley, Jerry Moody Sr., and Larry Bradley; and his sisters, Mary King and JoAnn Simpson.

Troy lived a full and extraordinary life. He did things his way and never backed down. His family lovingly referred to him as the “Big Boss,” and he truly was. He was a man who believed in hard work and demonstrated it daily, continuing to work up until the very end. A successful businessman in many ventures, his greatest passion was the land and the timber business which was a huge part of who he was.

He faithfully served as Dallas County Judge from 1973 to 1980 and again from 1995 to 2000. During his years of service, he contributed to numerous boards and efforts that helped shape and improve Dallas County.

Troy enjoyed deer hunting and cherished his time at Bradley Deer Club. He especially loved sharing those moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a proud member of the A-to-Z Investment Club and often shared fond memories from those experiences.

He was a faithful member of Prosperity Baptist Church, and his family finds comfort in knowing he is fully healed and reunited with his son, Mike, in Heaven.

Above all, Troy’s greatest title was “Pa.” The family will forever cherish the memories made with him at the camp, the farm, the lake, and on countless adventures. He was the heart of the family, leading with strength and wisdom, and leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured. He loved and was loved by all that knew him.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Dallas County Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided.

Zach MacNichol and Chase McCollum will be lead pallbearers, followed by Jeff Petray, Keith Humphries, Jerry Wayne Moody Jr., Tony Humphries, Carol Ray Bradley, and Ray Bradley.
