Thomas Wesley Word, Jr., 84, of Bearden died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home. He was born May 10, 1926 in Camden, Arkansas. He was a retired logger and farmer, an Army veteran serving during World War II and was also the last charter member of Warner Spur Assembly of God Church in Harmony Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wesley Word and Estella Mae Roberts Word and one sister, Sally Word. He is survived by his wife Louise Word of Bearden; five sons, Sammy Word of Bearden, Robby Word of Thornton, Ricky Word of Bearden, David Word of Alma and Tony Word of Bearden; one daughter, Linda Burns of Moberly, MO; one brother, Johnny Word of Camden; nine sisters, Mildred Caron of Benton, LA, Lola Mae Stumps of Topeka, KS, Martha Lee Tutt of Houston, TX, Rose Mary Dodds of Benton, LA, Sarah Jane Johnson of Chidester, Louise Meeks of Houston, TX, Shirley Wilsey, Olivette Price and Claudette Kaunitz all of Camden; twenty three grandchildren, forty one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday at the family home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Warner Spur Assembly of God Church with Rev. David Word and Rev.
