Thomas Lee Marion Lanthrip

Thomas Lee Marion Lanthrip, Jr., age 70, of Thornton died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born October 1, 1941 in Kingsland, Arkansas. He was retired E-9 Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army serving both in Korea and Vietnam. He was a Baptist, a member of the chess club and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas L.M. Lanthrip, Sr. and Maggie Marie Terry McMann; two sisters, Sue Stringfellow and Charlene Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lanthrip of Thornton; one son, Paul Lanthrip of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Marie Erwin of Fordyce, Linda Lee Lanthrip of Little Rock and Julia Lanthrip of Fordyce; two brothers, Ronald "Red" Lanthrip of Fordyce, W.H. Taylor of Springdale; one sister, Annie Benson of Alburerque, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Gabriel Rodriquez, Jesse Erwin and Savannah Morris. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Lanthrip officiating.
