Thomas Vegario Keene

Thomas Vegario Keene, 82 of Hot Springs, formerly of Fordyce, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29, 2010. He was born February 25, 1928 in Good Pine, Louisiana to the late Cabe and Mary Margaret Reaves Keene. He was retired from Stratcor, Inc. and a member of Winans Missionary Baptist Church of Hot Springs. He will be remembered as a man who loved God and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herbert Keene. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Christine Keene of Hot Springs; a son, Gary (Betty) Keene of Hot Springs; a daughter, Beverly (Larry) Childers of Litchfield, Illinois; a sister Ruth (Glenn) McAlister of Fordyce; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be at Benton Funeral Home, Fordyce, Arkansas on Friday, July 2 beginning at 9:00 am followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am with Rev. Gary Keene, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery, Bleeker, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Winans Missionary Baptist Church, 222 Golf Links Rd., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
