Thelma Alice Langley Humphries, of Holly Springs, was born in Buena Vista, Arkansas on April 3, 1933 to the late Rebecca and Olen Langley of Eagle Mills, Arkansas. After a well fought battle she made her transition to eternity on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Thelma wore many hats. Along with being a homemaker, wife and mother, she was also the gardener, landscaper and cleared a mean fence row. She was a member of the White Oak Assembly of God Church in the White Oak Community.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Alton Humphries of Holly Springs, two daughters, Vicki Hastings of Holly Springs and Joan Lloyd and husband Steve of Dallas, Texas, one son, Doug Humphries and wife Teri of Kingman, Arizona, one stepson, Clifton Humphries of Bearden, one sister, Edna Seales of Chidester, Arkansas, one brother, Melvin Langley of Russellville, Arkansas, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, special nieces and nephews.
Two grandchildren preceded her in death, Kristel Michelle Sorrells and Bradley Lynn Sorrells. Four brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden, AR. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow at the New Holly Springs Cemetery. .
