Taylor A. Allen

Taylor A. Allen, 69, of Kingsland died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at his home. He was born April 13, 1939 in Houston, Texas. He was a member of New Edinburg Methodist Church, Kingsland Masonic Lodge, Huey Mason Lodge in New Edinburg, Tri County Shrine, and York Rite in Pine Bluff. He was also an endowed member of Arkansas Scottish Rite, Valley of Santa Fe New Mexico Scottish Rite, a lifetime member of VFW and DAV. Mr. Allen also was a member of the American Legion and Gideon's International. Mr. Allen was in the military for over 32 years serving in the Air Force and Army/Arkansas National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.M. "Dude" Allen and Geraldine Sermon Allen; one son, Anthony Scott Allen and one sister, Pauline Noble. He is survived by his wife, Helen Allen of Kingsland; one son, Kenneth Allen and wife, Stephanie of Bellville, TX; two step-sons, Mike Jones and wife, Teresa of Broken Arrow, OK and Rick Jones of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Robin Elliott and husband, Brett of Houston, TX; one step daughter, Jennifer Donohue of Sand Springs, OK; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Alllen of Logview, TX; seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers please give to your favorite charity. There will be a Masonic/Military graveside services 3:00 pm Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Camp Springs Cemetery near Kingsland with Rev.
