Stanley Wayne Burford, 72, of Jacksonville, died Friday January 13, 2012 at his home. Mr. Burford was born in Rosebud, AR on December 30, 1939 to the late James Adrian & Alice Marie Nelson Burford. He was a retired Security Guard for Baptist Medical Center, & a Methodist. Mr. Burford honorably & faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ruth Ellen Castleberry Burford of Jacksonville, AR; a son, Timothy Wayne Burford & his wife Stephanie of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Constance Marie Burford Ogden & her husband Barry of Las Vegas, NV; & a grandson, Timothy Greyson Burford of Las Vegas, NV.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. They will receive friends at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Burford. In lieu of flowers & cards, the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Make a Wish Foundation. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
