Shirley Lou Smith

Shirley Lou Smith, age 71 of Fordyce died Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce, Arkansas. She was born March 6, 1953 in Humboldt, TN. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bearden.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Edward James Sumler and Maxine Raymell Ware Sumler; one sister, Sue Benthal; and two brothers, Jimmy Sumler and Wayne Gilbert. She is survived by one son, Jamie (Stacey) Weaver of Bearden; two daughters, Wanda (Van) Cross of Fordyce, Eva Weaver of Fordyce; former husband and father of her children, Dale Weaver of Fordyce; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Bearden with Rev. Kevin Stevicks officiating. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
