Sharon Clark was born July 9, 1966, to the late T’Aurthur and Bettie Clark. On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, God, in his infinite wisdom call Sharon from her earthly tasks into her spiritual realm.
Sharon received Christ at an early age and rededicated her life on August 29, 2015 at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Shedrick Jordan.
She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She loved cooking and feeding anybody. She was a part of the 1984 class of Dermott High School. She was a member of the basketball team, track team, and member of FHA and FFA. After getting her diploma, she helped educate others at the adult education center. She loved traveling and going to blues shows with her best friend Kattie. She always wanted to fulfill her mother’s dream of opening her own business. Sharon fulfilled that dream in May of 2022, when she opened Bettie Boo’s Kitchen.
She leaves to carry on her legacy: one daughter, Latrisha (Steven) Miller of Fordyce, AR; one son, Rodney Cleary, Jr. and his father, Rodney Cleary, Sr. of Milwaukee, WI; three sisters, Pame-la Thompson of Little Rock, AR, Gwendolyn Clark of Atlanta, GA and Shana (Terrance) Waits of St Paul, MN; four brothers, James Clark and Jimmy Foster of Dermott, AR, Eric Clark of Kansas City, KS and T’man Clark of Texas; nine grandchildren, which she loved dearly; a very special friend JD Thompson, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday May 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church at Dermott. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Strickland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Bearden.
