Scotty E. Roetzel, 71, of Hampton died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Pine Hills Health and Rehabilitation in Camden. He was born March 17, 1941 in Russell, Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver, member of First Baptist Church in Hampton and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.P. "Hank" and Wilma Patterson Roetzel and two brothers, Luther Roetzel and William Roetzel. He is survived by his wife. Betty Lucas Roetzel of Hampton; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Roetzel of Little Rock; two step-sons, Scott Launius of Camden and Kevin Launius of Monticello; one step-daughter, Shea Simmermacher Walker of Hampton; three brothers, Wayne Roetzel of North Little Rock, Lynn Roetzel of Jacksonville, Jerry Roetzel of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Scott and Gracie Roetzel of Little Rock, Lucas Simmermacher of Hampton and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas Program and Services 10411 W Markham, Suite 130 Little Rock, AR 72205-1409.
