Sarah Kathryn Rowland

Sarah Kathryn Lisemby Rowland, 76, of Kingsland died Wednesday September 7, 2016 at her home. Born September 13, 1939 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Ross Lisemby and Ophie Pet Williams Lisemby. She was a member of Mt. Elba Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dwight Lisemby and James Lisemby; two sisters, Maxine Ivy and Janelle Ward. She is survived by her husband, Allen "Sonny" Rowland of Kingsland; one son, Terry Rowland (Carla Burgey) of Kingsland; two daughters, Kathy Phillips (Jason) of Rison, Karen Dees (Cannon) of Kingsland; one brother, Elton Lisemby of New Edinburg; one sister, Betty Taylor of New Edinburg; seven grandchildren, Heidi Ashcraft (John), Cody Rowland (Brooks), Kerry Garner (Chris), Dustin Dees (Lauren), Cassie Dees, Zach Edwards, Grace Anne Phillips; five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Greenwood and Rev. Rick Bolin officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
