Sarah Lavern Grice

Sarah Lavern Grice, 88, of Kingsland died peacefully surrounded by her family and husband of 70 years on Monday October 1, 2012. She was born November 3, 1923 in New Edinburg, AR to Edmond Grady Mosley and Mattie Lee Miller Mosley. She was a charter member of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church. Lavern was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Edmond, John Lewis, Wreyford, and Wreyburn Mosley; two sisters, Thelma Grice and Mary Augusta Mosley. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James H. Grice, Sr. of Kingsland; two sons, Hubert Grice (Diane) and Randall Grice (Linnie) of Kingsland; grandchildren Tammy Clampet (Mark) of Bismark, Mia Bryant (David) of Rogers, Randy Grice (Donna) of Zachary, LA, Jamey Grice (Lesley) of Kingsland and Robb Grice of Kingsland; eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Bolin officiating.
