Ruth J. Womack Crouse

It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of Ruth J. Womack Crouse, 96, of Hot Springs on January 17, 2017. She was born on June 4, 1920 in Wave Community, Dallas County, born the fifth of ten children to Dock and Jewel Hubbard Womack. She married N. Key Crouse on December 16, 1939. Survivors are three daughters: Mary Lou Boone of Hot Springs; Betty Jane (Jim) Marler of Overland Park, KS; Nancy Key (Dick) Behringer of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters. Ruth was an elder of Carthage Presbyterian Church and served the Carthage community for over 30 years.

Visitation will be at Benton Funeral Home, Fordyce on Saturday, January 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will be held immediately following visitation. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren and their spouses. Burial will follow at Tulip Memorial Cemetery.

A celebration of life fellowship will be held at Carthage Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall after burial service. All friends and family members are asked to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carthage Presbyterian Church, Oaklawn United Methodist Church—Family Life Center, and Arkansas Hospice, Hot Springs. Special thanks to the gals of Barbara's Golden Years and Arkansas Hospice, Hot Springs.
