Rufus Huff

Rufus W. Huff, 88, of Fordyce died Sunday January 13, 2013 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. Born September 7, 1924 at Moro Bay, he was a son of the late Robert G. and Carrie Vines Huff. He was a carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Bronze Star Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Marvin Huff, James Huff; sister, Dorothy Gummason; son-in-law, Ray Turner; grandson, Chris Turner. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Hines Huff of Fordyce; son, Robert N. Huff of Hot Springs Village; two daughters, Ann Turner of Hampton, Patricia Kidd of Pine Bluff; brother, Donnie Huff of Kingsland; two sisters, Martha Reddin of Dayton, TX, Frances Granderson of Texarkana, TX; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel.
