Ruby Beatrice Barker

Ruby Beatrice McClain Barker, 91, of Fordyce, died Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Dallas County Medical Center. She was born in Dallas County, on April 2, 1919, to the late Ragus & Betty McClain. Mrs. Barker was retired from Allied Telephone Company, was a member of the Eastern Star, and was the last lifetime charter member of the Temple Baptist Church in Fordyce.

She is survived by her son, Randle Barker & his wife Minnie of Fordyce, AR; a daughter, Sandra Watson & her husband Joe of Fordyce, AR; a sister, Mary Lee Cottrell of Canton, TX; three grandchildren, & four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Barker, & two brothers, Charles & Bob McClain.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday August 2, 2010 at the Temple Baptist Church in Fordyce. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery with the Rev. Mike McEuen & Rev. David Inzer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
