Royce Wendell Chambers, 82 of Camden, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011. He was born March 18, 1929 in Calhoun County to the late Henry Rush and Mamie Faye Finley Chambers.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jones Chambers of Camden; three sons, James Royce Chambers and wife Martha, Thomas Wade Chambers and wife Rita, Wayland Douglas Chambers and wife Missy, all of Camden; one brother, Mack Chambers of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Jason Chambers, Nicholas Chambers, Joanna Nugent, Brandon Chambers, Sheila Denton, Jonathan Chambers, Breanne Chambers, all of Camden; six great grandchildren, Peyton, Andrew, Daniel, and Titus Chambers, all of Camden, Samantha Denton of Little Rock, and Carson Chambers of Camden.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Jessie, and Wayne Chambers; and four sisters, Linnie Whisler, Ruth Curry, Nellive May, and Newell Gardner.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chambersville. Visitation is Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
