Roy Eugene Rogers, 65 of Kingsland, died Monday, March 10, 2008. He was born November 17, 1942 in Kingsland , Arkansas to the late Woodrow K. and Eunice Lisemby Rogers.
He was a retired logger, a member of Kingsland Methodist Church and the Kingsland Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by one son, Christopher Morrow Rogers and one brother, James Elton Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hood Rogers of Kingsland; one son and daughter-in-law, Stuart K. and Patricia Henry Rogers of Huntsville, Alabama; one daughter, Marla Rogers Bolin of Kingsland; two sisters, Shirley Rogers Roberts of Fordyce and Barbara Rogers Mathews of Lavaca; one sister-in-law Sharon Rawls Rogers of Woodlawn; six grandchildren, Cassie, Gennifer, Hannah, Jacob, Justin, and Emilie; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 AM at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce.
