Roy V. Ray, 87 of Fordyce died Monday October 10, 2011 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. Born August 13, 1924 at Carthage, he was a son of the late Monroe Hilton Ray and Dollie Raney Ray. He was a sawmill operator and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Flowers Ray; brother, Billy Jack Ray; and a sister, Jacqueline Ray.
He is survived by his wife Janell Green Ray of Fordyce; a daughter Lisa Watts of Dover, AR; two grandchildren Nicholas Watts of Iraq, Kristen Watts-Willcutt of Dover AR; two great grandchildren, Brantley Watts of Ohio, Mya Willcutt of Dover, AR and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Wright Cemetery with Rev. Jim Conard officiating.
