Roger Vance Wood

Roger Vance Wood, age 58 of Camden died Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home. He was born February 18, 1966 in Fordyce, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Bearden High School, received his Bachelors of Science in teaching from UAM, and received his Masters of Learning Systems in Technology from UALR. Roger was a high school math teacher for 18 years, and proudly served as a police officer for over 20 years.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, R.V. Wood and Juanita Wilson Wood. He is survived by three sons, Russell (Karah) Norsworthy of Hot Springs, Terry (Destiny) Wood of Camden, Addison (CodieJo) Wood of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Michael Wood of Bearden, Doug Wood of Bearden; one sister, Deborah (Terry) Burkholder of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Noah Norsworthy, GentryReid Norsworthy, HarveyFinn Norsworthy, RuthieJames Norsworthy, Avana Wood, and Nova Wood.
Visitation will be Thursday 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Moss Hill Cemetery with Rev. Terry Walthall officiating. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
