Robert L. "Bob" Johnson, 77, of Hampton died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born September 9, 1932 in Calhoun County. He was a member of Church of Christ in Hampton. He was also a retired truck driver and a professional musician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cicero and Betty "Swannie" Mauldin Johnson; four brothers, one sister, and one great-grandchild, Benjamin Jett Hannegan. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Catherine Smith Johnson of Hampton; three daughters, Cathy Hopper, Candy Evans and Kim Whitmer all of Hampton; eight grandchildren, Dnee Allen of Hampton, Kiesha Stewart of El Dorado, Kristy Hopper and Rebecca Goodwin both of Hampton, Faith Stewart of Magnolia, Brandon Evans of Hampton, Chase Ellis of Foreman and Kodie Hannegan of Harrell; and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday at New Hope Cemetery with Kenneth Johnson officiating.
