Robert Edward Dempsey, Sr., 71 of Bearden died Sunday March 11, 2018 at Dallas County Medical Center at Fordyce. Born August 12, 1946 at Mountain Home, he was a son of the late Harold Dempsey and Barbara Nowlin Dempsey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rickey Dempsey. He is survived by his wife, Jane Dempsey of Bearden; three sons, Robert Edward "Booder" Dempsey (Susan) of Hampton, John Dempsey (Amy) of Bossier City, LA, Tracy Dempsey (Vonda) of Hampton; step-daughter, Kathy Clemons (David) of Bearden; brother, Wayne Dempsey of Calion; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hampton First Assembly of God with Rev. Rickey Smith and Rev. Eddie Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral home of Hampton/Fordyce.
