Rickey Lee Dempsey

Rickey Lee Dempsey, 57, of Hampton died Monday July 27, 2009 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas at El Dorado. Born May 6, 1952 at Hampton, he was a son of the late Harold L. and Barbara Nowlin Dempsey. He managed the Hampton Motel and was a jailer and auxiliary deputy for the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department. He is survived by his wife, Rita Dempsey of Hampton; two sons, Rickey Lee Strickland of Hampton, Chadwick Wood of Hogansville, GA; two brothers, Wayne Dempsey of Show Low, AZ, Bobby Dempsey of Hampton; three grandchildren, Tyler Wood of Grantville, GA, Skylar and Harley Strickland of Hampton; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hampton First Baptist Church with Rev. Clint Ritchie officiating.
