Richard Jefferson Lindsey

Richard Jefferson "Jeff" Lindsey, 65, of Thornton, died Wednesday November 17, 2010 at his home. Mr. Lindsey was born in Bearden, AR, on March 31, 1945 to the late Wesley & Katy Lea Sullivan Lindsey. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church & retired from the Calhoun County Road Department. Mr. Lindsey honorably & faithfully served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughter Leigh Ann McLean & her husband Chris of Paola, KS; five brothers, Thomas Lee Lindsey of Bearden, AR, Johnny Lindsey of Bearden, AR, George Lindsey of Bearden, AR, Danny Lindsey of Malvern, AR, Larry Lindsey of Bearden, AR; a sister, Betty Strange of Bearden, AR; & two grandchildren, Gavin & Caroline McLean of Paola, KS.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday November 20, 2010 at the Salem Cemetery, with the Rev. Harold Harper officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday Evening at the funeral home in Bearden. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
