Ray Buford Doherty

Ray Buford Doherty, 82, of Thornton died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born February 10, 1931 in Bearden, Arkansas. He was a retired millwright and an army veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. Doherty and Louella Tollison Doherty; five brothers and three sisters; great grandchild, Hailey Nutt; and great great-grandchild, Braylyn Williams. He is survived by two sons, William Ray Doherty of Bearden, Ronald Wayne Doherty of Thornton; two daughters, Sandy Watson of Bearden, Judy Sallee of Kingsland; four grandchildren, Shawn Metcalf of New Edinburg, Brian Buehler of Prattsville, Jeffrey Buehler of Buckner, Bill Doherty of Bearden; nine great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will 2:00 pm Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
