Rachel Hornaday Adams, 88, of Warren, died Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Wagnon Place Nursing Home in Warren, AR. Mrs. Adams was born in Thornton, AR on October 18, 1922 to the late Virgil & Eva Derryberry Hudson. She was a homemaker & a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Warren.
She is survived by her three sons, William Jarrett & his wife Ouita of New Edinburg, AR, Tommy Jarrett & his wife Sandy of Springdale, AR, Bert Hornaday & his wife Nancy of Fordyce, AR; a brother, Marvin Hudson of Searcy, AR; two sisters, Versa Morris of Kingsland, AR, Mabel Dillman of Lima, OH; a son in-law, Delton Crowder of Warren; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, & one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Adams, a daughter, Mary Gail Crowder, & a sister Verda Taylor.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday August 12, 2011 at the Ebenezer Cemetery, with the Rev. B.L. Blann officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
