Peggy Farris Doherty

Peggy Farris Doherty, 74, of Thornton died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home. She was born October 12, 1943 in Alexandria, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Courtney Farris and Willie Katherine Farris; two sons, Robert and Paul Downs; one daughter, Sheri Cryer; and one grandchild, Scotty Ballance. She is survived by her husband, George Doherty of Thornton; one daughter, Melissa Allyn of Denham Springs, LA; two brothers, Danny Farris of Baton Rouge, LA and Courtney Farris of Albuquerque, NM; thirteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. No funeral services are planned at this time.
