Peggy Ann Jenkins Doherty, 68 of Bearden, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was born August 6, 1948 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Henry and Thelma Jane Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mona Lisa Dison.
She is survived by her husband Russell Doherty of Bearden; two sons, Wayne Doherty of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jay Doherty of Bearden; one daughter Leanne Ballard of Huntsville, Texas; two brothers, Samuel Jenkins of Pedal, Mississippi and Donald Jenkins of Baytown, Texas; one sister, Lindy Thornton of Minden, Louisiana; 9 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Chip.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 2PM Friday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Burial at Bethel Cemetery. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
