Paul Edward Hood

Paul Edward Hood, 83, of Hampton, died Friday August 12, 2011 at the John R. Williamson House in El Dorado. Mr. Hood was born in Grenada, MS on July 22, 1928 to the late J.L. & Verna Lee Hood McKinney. He was a retired Floor Mechanic & a member of the Campground Presbyterian Church in Hampton.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frances Newton Hood of Hampton, AR; three sons, Paul Michael Hood of Mississippi, Lawrence Hood of Mississippi, Jeffrey Russell Hood of Hampton, AR; a daughter, Diane Harrington of Connecticut; two brothers, James Hood of Port Orange, FL, Edgar McKinney of Mississippi; five sisters, Betty Ann Flannigan of Ocala, FL, Maxine Lofton of Mississippi, Audrey Watkins of Mississippi, Rebecca Kiser of Mississippi, Jacki Sims of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Joshua Hood of Spring, TX, Troy Harrington of Connecticut; & a his step-mother, Eunice Hood of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Otis & Douglas McKinney, & two sisters, Virginia Ledford, & Brenda Trott.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday August 15, 2011 at the Campground Presbyterian Church in Hampton. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery, with the Rev. Garland Skidmore officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home in Hampton. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the John R.
