Patricia Ann Nutt

August 1, 1932 — December 28, 2021

Patricia Ann “Patsy” Nutt, age 89 of Hampton died Monday, December 28, 2021 at her home. She was born August 1, 1932 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Bruce Reddin and Sallie Lou Gardner Reddin; and husband of 62 years, Vernon Ray Nutt.

Patsy’s first job was an inspector at Shumaker Naval Ammunition Depot in East Camden. She later worked for 18 years at Hampton Public School ending her career there as librarian. But first and foremost she was a wife and mother. She loved caring for her family and giving them all of the love she could. She loved gardening, canning her own vegetables and in later years she enjoyed talking on the phone with her family and friends.

Patsy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Hampton where she was always very active teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and helping where she could to serve others. All thru her life her faith was strong and her dedication to her Lord was steadfast.

Patsy is survived by one son, Brian Nutt and wife Lynn of Hampton; two daughters, Iwana Castleberry and husband Randy of Harmony Grove, Angie Ables and husband Randy of Hampton; one sister, Donna Sue Barbee of Alexander; five grandchildren, Cody Ables of Hampton, Wesley Ables of El Dorado, Ryan Castleberry of Alma, Jesse Castleberry of Camden, Sam Nutt of El Dorado; eight great grandchildren, Della Ables, Cy Ables, Gemma Ables of Hampton, Paysen Ables and Paxton Strong of El Dorado, Tyson and Taylor Castleberry of Alma, and Emma Castleberry of Camden.

Visitation will be Friday 9:30 am until 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Hampton. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Nutt and Rev. Keith Nutt officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jesse Castleberry, Ryan Castleberry, Tyson Castleberry, Cody Ables, Wesley Ables, Cy Ables, Sam Nutt, and Paxton Strong.
