Patricia Ann Bodge, 67, of Hot Springs Village, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, died on Thursday, November 12, 2009. Patty was born on August 3, 1942 in Holly Springs, AR to Cecil Hugh "Pat" Scarlett and Dorothy Hern Scarlett. She attended the Bearden schools and graduated from Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, Kansas. She also attended college at Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS. She was a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village.

Patty is survived by her husband of 48 years, James W. Bodge; daughter, Kristy Patrice Bodge of Bryant; mother, Dorothy Hern Scarlett of Fordyce; sister Sandra Meador and husband Joe Bill of Fordyce; sister-in-law, Avis Zook and husband Bob of Cozad, NE; nieces, Scarlett Barnes and husband Seth of Batesville and Teresa Chramosta and husband Rick of Minden, NE; nephew, Mark Meador and wife Itzel of Maumelle; three great nieces and three great nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Pat Scarlett; son, James Kraig Bodge and best friend, Nancy Clopton of Garland, TX.

Patty loved all of her family and enjoyed doing things for them. She also loved interior design and creating floral arrangements. One of her happiest times was when she worked as a floral designer. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge with her husband and friends.

A funeral service for Patty will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 10:00 am at the Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, AR. Visitation with the family will follow the service and burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. There will also be a memorial service at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village on Wednesday, November 18 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
