Palmer L. Anthony, Jr.

Palmer L. Anthony, Jr., 94, of Thornton died Monday, September 25, 2017. He was born August 8, 1923 in Bearden, Arkansas. He was a retired Director of the Department of Special Weapons with the United States Navy. He was a U.S. Army Air Force World War II veteran. Palmer was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Bearden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Palmer L. Anthony, Sr. and Bedie Payne Anthony; and one aunt, Cora Payne. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anthony of Thornton; one son, Philip (Jenny) Anthony of Yukon, OK; one daughter, Thereasa Culp of Little Rock; and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 29, 2017 at Moss Cemetery in Bearden with Rev. Andy Hughes officiating.
