Opal K. Morgan

Opal K. Morgan 95, of Fordyce died July 7, 2009 at the Dallas County Medical Center. Born January 9, 1914 to parents Charles and Florence Wardlaw Kellogg, Opal was the widow of Vesta Morgan. She was a former owner and operator of a hair salon. She was a member of Fordyce United Methodist Church and the U.M.W. Wesleyan's Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Johnnie Kellogg Thompson of Jacksonville and Jackie Easterling of Fordyce. She is survived by beloved nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Smith-Morgan Cemetery.
