Nellie Joan Hopkins, 77, of Bearden died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her home. She was born August 2, 1935 in Ouachita County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Griffin and Georgia Luzader Griffin; and brother, George T. Griffin. She is survived by her husband, James A. Hopkins of Bearden; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Janet Hopkins of Bearden; one daughter, Brenda Zimmerman of Bearden; three grandchildren, Stephanie Williams of Harmony Grove, Stacie Leavins of Redfield, Julie Hopkins of Houston, TX; three great grandchildren, Cadence Leavins and Brooklynn Leavins of Redfield and Mackenzie Williams of Harmony Grove. Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
