Nathan Clayton Harris, 88, of Holly Springs died Monday, December 7, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born August 27, 1927 in Princeton, Arkansas. He was a member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church and was retired from International Paper Company in Camden where he had worked for forty two years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Madison Harris and Laura Peters Harris; wife, Frankie Iona Gurnsey Harris; five brothers, Doss Harris, Reginald Harris, Chester Harris, Kenneth Harris and Monroe Harris; two sisters, Altha Adams and Rena Sims; two great grandchildren, Raymond Walters, Jr and Casey Smith. Nathan is survived by one son, Randy (Linda) Harris of Holly Springs; two daughters, Kathy Purifoy of Holly Springs, Hilda (Travis) Griffis of Bearden; one brother, Paul Harris of Camden; one sister, Myrtle Jean Poole of Camden; six grandchildren, Benita Sisson of Hampton, Missy Knight of New Edinburg, Ashley Ann Vaughan of Bearden, Krystal Gosvenor of Chidester, Blain Harris and Elizabeth Harris of Holly Springs; eight great grandchildren, Hailey, Brandi, Cody, Lanee, Libby, Huntlee, Brooklyn and Taylor; two great-great grandchildren, Amelia and Braden. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Holly Springs Cemetery with Rev. David Dillard officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce/Bearden.
