Nancy Carolyn Starks

Nancy Carolyn Marshall Starks, 79, of Carthage, died Friday January 22, 2016 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. Born September 1, 1936 at Carthage, she was a daughter of the late H.L. Marshall and Nancy Raney Marshall. She was a member of the Carthage Presbyterian Church and a retired bookkeeper for Toler Lumber Co. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Delora Wallace and Katherine Roberts; two brothers, Darrell and Gerald Marshall. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Starks; two brothers, Chester Marshall and John Marshall of Crossroads; four sisters, Dora Atkins of Albuquerque, NM, Joy Bolin of Carthage, Margaret Neal of Carthage, Marolyn Marshall of Pine Bluff; Twenty five nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews; and one great great great nephew. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.J. Harrington officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hampton Springs Cemetery or Carthage Presbyterian Church.
