Matilda "Joey" Raney

Matilda J. “Joey” Raney, 79 of Fordyce, died Sunday, November 10, 2024. She was born February 21, 1945 to the late Oma Bruce McAlister and Rebecca Grace Hollis McAlister. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Glen McAlister, and three sisters: Stella Marks, Ida Fielder, and Vivian Whitley.

She is survived by her two sons, Wayne Allen Raney and wife Debbie of Fordyce, and Michael Todd Raney and wife Stacey of Sheridan; one sister, Charlee Gray of Fordyce; nine grandchildren: Blake Barner, Brian Barner, Wes Raney, Josh Raney, Brady Barner, Eric Raney, Alanna Raney, Tyler Raney, and Madison Smith-Brown; and ten great grandchildren: Caden Barner, Skylar Raney, Logan Barner, Natiley Raney, Kinley Smith, Mason Smith, Cooper Raney, Cannon Cooper, Hadlee Raney, and Samuel Smith-Brown.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12th from 1PM till 2PM at the Pentecostals of Fordyce church. Funeral services will follow at 2PM at the church with Rev.
