Mary Doris Vann, 82 of Sparkman, died Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was born May 6, 1932 in Sparkman to the late Lewis and Ethel Nalls Dickey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Doyle D. Vann, her daughter Sue Vann Darius, and her son Charles Vann.
She is survived by one son Doyle Vann, Jr. of Sparkman; two daughters, Liz Points of Smackover and Brenda Smith of Haughton, LA; three brothers, James Dickey of Springfield, MO, Clois Dickey of Burns, Maurice Dickey of Wheeling Springs; three sisters, Betty Johnson of Sherwood, Frances West of Columbus, TN, and Hazel Davis of Jonesbourgh, TN; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services are 10AM Wednesday at Ouachita Baptist Church near Sparkman. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Bearden. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
