Mary Nell Thomason, 78 originally of Fordyce, passed away February 25, 2014 of pancreatic cancer. Mary was born to Cora and Burke Hodnett February 27, 1935 in Fordyce, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Tommie. She leaves behind two daughters, Brenda (Paul) Plessinger of Munford, TN and Jan Thomason of Millington, TN; two grandchildren, John Plessinger of Memphis, TN and Tracy (Stuart) Wilson of Stillwater, OK; one great-granddaughter Emma Wilson; one brother Frank (Barbara) Hodnett of Texarkana, AR; sister-in-law Yvonne Hodnett of Fayetteville, AR.
The family will receive friends Sunday (March 2nd) from 5PM until 7PM at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. A graveside service will be Monday (March 3rd) at 2PM at Stoney Point Cemetery near Fordyce. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Memphis Union Mission, 383 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38101. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
