Mary Sue Smith

Mary Sue Smith, age 94, of Monticello, Arkansas passed away at Monticello. She was born January 27, 1930 at Fordyce, Arkansas to the late Hugh E. Smith Sr. and Mary Jordan Smith. She was a registered nurse for many years, retiring from the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock after 36 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Bill and Patricia Peeples; her nephew, Rob Peeples and her sister-in-law Louise Smith.
She is survived by her brothers, Hugh E. Smith Jr. of Fordyce and Paul J. Smith (Betty) of Monticello; two nephews, Tim (Roxanne) Smith and Chris (Julie) Smith; three nieces, Susan Peeples, Rebecca (Tom) May and Julie (Russ) Pennell; four great nephews, Jordan May, Blake (Molly) Smith, Ryan Smith, and Clay Smith; two great nieces, Morgan (Donavin) Buck and Emily (Ryan) Wenkel; one great-great nephew, Cade Smith; two great-great nieces, Jordyn Smith and Hallie Buck.
A visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 1PM to 2PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral Services will follow at 2PM at Benton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net
